If you have accessibility requirements, we ask that you contact your airline to arrange a check-in time at the airport to suit to your needs.
As a general rule, we suggest arriving at least three (3) hours earlier to your international flight and 1.5 hours earlier than your domestic flight to allow sufficient time to make your way through Brisbane Airport. There is no need to worry about being too early for your flight as there are plenty of things to do once you get here.

Where to pick-up/drop-off a passenger with special assistance requirements
There are signed zones at the Domestic and International Terminals for picking up and dropping off passengers with accessibility needs.
Accessibility pick-up/drop-off zones
Domestic Terminal
Six (6) spaces are located under the Skywalk along the passenger pick-up and drop-off road. These spaces are approximately 105 metres from the Terminal entrance.
At the Domestic Terminal there are two (2) additional accessible parking spaces on the taxi drop-off road. These spaces are approximately 50 metres from the Terminal doors. If you require the use of one of these special-use spaces, please call our reception +61 7 3406 3261 between 8am and 3:45pm Monday to Friday to reserve a spot. This office is closed on weekends and public holidays.
Please note, you will need to provide at least 24 hours notice to reserve access.
Escorting passengers into the Terminal
In the designated accessibility pick-up and drop-off spaces, you are able to park and leave your vehicle for up to 30 minutes, allowing time to assist passengers to or from the Terminal. Please note, it is a requirement when parking in these areas that a valid Disability Parking Permit is displayed on the vehicle.
If you don’t have a valid disability permit, but wish to use these spaces, please identify yourself to a Kerbside Officer. Our Kerbside Officers have the discretionary capability to allow people without a valid permit to utilise these spaces.
International Terminal
Four (4) spaces are available on the Departures Road on Level 4. These spaces are directly outside the entrance to the Terminal. Given the proximity to the Terminal, parking is limited to a maximum of 5 minutes and it is not possible to leave your vehicle unattended at any time.
Please note, it is a requirement when collecting passengers at the Level 4 accessible Pick-Up area that a valid Disability Parking Permit is displayed on the vehicle. Passengers without a valid Disability Parking Permit can be picked-up at the Level 1 Pick-Up area.
Escorting passengers into the terminal
At the International Terminal, you will need to park in the car park, if you need to leave your vehicle to escort passengers to or from the Terminal. Short term parking is available in the Terminal car parks from $10 for the first two hours if you book online in advance. Learn more here.

Q: Are there accessible car parks at the Terminals?
Yes. You’ll find accessible car parking available at both short-term and long-term car parks at Brisbane Airport. You’ll need to display a valid Disability Parking Permit to use these parking spaces as fines apply for misuse.
Domestic Terminal
Accessible parking spaces are located close to the lifts on each floor of the multilevel car parks and close to the bus stops at AIRPARK and AIRPARK2 for your convenience. Please note, there are no over height car parks available at the Domestic Terminal, all over height vehicles will need to park at AIRPARK. Drivers should also note height restrictions apply in all undercover parking areas, which is marked on the entry to all car parks.
International Terminal
Accessible parking spaces are located close to the lifts on each floor of the multilevel car parks and the close to the bus stops at AIRPARK and AIRPARK2 for your convenience. Please note, while overheight vehicle parking bays are available at the International Terminal, drivers should note height restrictions apply in all undercover parking areas, which is marked on the entry to all car parks. For additional assistance, a premium car park option is the ParkValet service, which is currently available at the International Terminal.

Q: How do I access the Terminals from the accessible car park?
There are lifts available in the car parks to access the terminals.
In the Domestic Terminal, lifts connect the Skywalk to Departures, drop-off road and car parks.
In the International Terminal, the lifts connect the car park directly with the terminal.
In AIRPARK and AIRPARK2, our accessibility friendly bus service will drop you off directly in front of the terminal doors.

Taxi
There are taxi ranks at both the International and Domestic Terminals, located directly in front of both Terminals. If you require an XL or accessible taxi - please notify on booking or speak to the taxi-usher who will be able to help you.
Ride Share
Most ride share options also have options available to assist passengers with accessible needs such as UberASSIST.
Brisbane Airport has dedicated Ride-booking (ride share) pick-up zones at both the Domestic and International Terminals. Look for the signs indicating Pre-Booked Express and Ride-booking outside the Terminals.
Bus
Brisbane City Council and TransLink coordinate bus services (route 590) to and from Skygate to the city. Brisbane City Council buses are low-floor buses allowing easier access for all passengers.
If travelling to or from the airport by bus, passengers will need to connect to the free Skygate Loop Bus which connects to the Terminals. Brisbane Airport offers a number of complimentary transfer bus services between our precincts and car parks, read more here.
